Food as Medicine

Hosted by the Banks Community UMC Food as Medicine is a 12-week series of nutrition education and hands-on cooking classes. The goal is to increase awareness about nutrition and healthy cooking.

Each week the participants discuss different nutrition and health related topics and prepares and enjoys a meal together.  Provided is a workbook which includes all of the course information and recipes.  The cost of the class is free, as we are supported by Jim’s Thriftway in Banks.  Everyone is welcome.
